The ship's missile armaments' would remain largely unchanged from the original Stalwart Class, although two large missile silos would be added in the ship's rear engine assembly. Although having a far more limited rate of fire than the Mark II, the Mark III MAC was capable of considerably higher energy output, and ensured the Stalwart II could punch well above it's weight in combat. This weapon was selected and developed after the appalling casualties suffered by the Marathon Class during the later years of the war, and the subsequent availability of spare parts for the weapons. The new "Mark III" Heavy Coil 87J2D9/MAC was actually a miniaturized version of the considerably larger weapon of the same name, typically found aboard Marathon Class Cruisers. As a result, certain ships of the class would be refitted with more conventional circular exhaust cones.Īfter the Mark II, Light Coil 56A2D4/MAC, proved to be a major power burden on the small frame of the Stalwart Class, a redesigned primary armament would be necessary for the Stalwart II. Although partially successful, the effort ultimately proved to be far more expensive than the moderate acceleration improvements could justify.

Powered by a pair of Jules-Wallably S890 Fusion Drives, the exhaust of the drives was ran through a number of esoteric structures, meant to mimic the far more powerful engines of Covenant Warships.

Of all of the ship's innovations, the most radical was undoubtedly the ship's engines. To achieve this, the ship would include marginally increased armor, dramatically improved maneuverability, and limited usage of the "honeycomb" structural supports that were designed by Doctor Robert McLees, made famous by such legendary ships as the Halcyon Class Light Cruiser.

Also reuploaded for another purpose as well but took down previous post*ĭesigned in 2551, the Stalwart "Flight II" was an attempt to improve the survivability and firepower of Frigate Formations in combat with the Covenant. Credit going to mattplog for drawing it and kpmh20001 on fanficiton for recently making a better description than what i made for it. *Was a fan of halo series and at some point i had hired an artist to draw me a improved version of the stalwart.
